Ye are the light of
the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. Neither
do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and
it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let
your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify
your Father which is in heaven. (Matthew 5:14-16)
A city is set on a
hill for protection. Only once in the history of the world has
there ever been a flood on a hill, and that was during very unusual circumstances.
So, by building on a hill the inhabitants will be safe from the destructions of
water and whatever floods can bring with it. Building on a hill is also a great
way to see the enemy approaching from afar, thus never being surprised and
overcome by them. Building upon a hill also gives the inhabitants the high-ground
from which to defend themselves, placing the enemy at a disadvantage.
But a city on a hill
cannot be hid! Nevertheless, Jesus exhorts the saints to seek the
protection from the enemy by always having the advantage of higher moral
ground, and a soaring righteousness that will see the enemy of wickedness
approaching, even when it is disguised in sheep's clothing, like almost every
point on the agenda of political correctness is. In the city on the hill it is
easy to see that Political Correctness is a new world religion, with its own
priests and priestesses, Satan himself choosing the High Priests and High
Priestesses. In the city on the hill it is easy to see and keep away. But it is
just as easy to be seen. "Ye are the light of the world".
The aims of the new
world religion of P.C. are easy to recognize, since the P.C. clergy almost
always use one good principle as an argument, or weapon, to attack and kill an
even holier law. "Thou shalt not kill", and
"thou shalt not commit adultery" are under
attack with the weapon of the good principle of women's right to choose and
man's right to follow their feelings. The wonderful plan to "multiply and
replenish the earth" is thrashed by the good principle that women should
fulfill themselves. The beautiful institution of marriage between husband and
wife is challenged by the words that "any love is good love", which
might sound good to those who built their city right in-between two hills, with
a river rushing down in-between them, with streams and creaks running like veins
up along the muddy sides of the hills, just above the city, with the record
storm of the century waiting to break. Just like most people do today… If any-one dares opposing the doctrines of the Church of P.C. he will be found accused by priests and priestesses, and congregation alike, who in one accord will shreek: "Blasphemy, bla-a-sphemy, bla-a-sphemy-y-y"!
A candle must be
placed on candlestick. The light will spread farther, and people from
afar will see it and those who has had enough of the valley-life with moral mud-slides
will know who to turn to. Jesus never said that we should be violent to the
valley-dwellers. But he told us to build our city way up there, to have nothing
to do with their way of living and thinking. And he told us to make no secret
of what we stand for. "Ye are the light of the world". And trust me, among the valley-dwellers there are
millions and millions who will grow sick and tired of being deceived, and they
will see the light of the world, if our light is there to be seen, and they will glorify the Father
who is in Heaven.
